FAQ

Past events may be hidden depending on the iPhone settings. If you want to display it, do the following.

  1. Tap [Settings App], then tap [Calendar].
  2. Tap [Sync].
  3. If a specific timeframe is selected, choose [All Events] instead.
  4. Return to your Home Screen.
  5. Wait a few minutes, open [SimpleCal] and click [Today] to be displayed.
SimpleCal does not store events data within the app, but stores it in external calendars (iCloud Calendar, Google Calendar, etc.). Therefore, it is unlikely that the events itself will disappear, but there is a possibility that it cannot be seen from the iPhone due to problems with the synchronization settings.

You can check the external calendars currently connected to your iPhone below. Check if the connection between the external calendar and iPhone is normal.

[Settings App] > [Calendar] > [Accounts]

If there is no problem with the above, check if the calendar display is turned off from the following, and turn it on if it is turned off.

[Settings icon] of this app > [Visible calendars]
This app may have lost full access to the calendar.
Up to iOS16, the access privileges to the calendar were "Full access" and "None", but from iOS17 "Add Event Only" has been added.
It seems that when updating to iOS17, it was changed from "Full access" to "Add Event Only". You cannot use this app with "Add Event Only" because you cannot see all events.
Please grant "full access privileges" again (steps below).

  1. Tap [Settings icon] of this app > [Permit Setting] > [Access to permission settings screen].
  2. Tap [Calendars] on the displayed screen.
  3. If [Full Access] is not checked, check it.

If the calendar you are using is Exchange, you can't change the color of an event.

The reason is that due to the specifications of the Exchange calendar, the event ID (identification number that the event has) may change, which returns the individually set color to the default color, so we have fixed that the color of an event can't be changed in Ver 1.5.9.

If you want to change the color of an event,
We recommend using iCloud Calendar or Google Calendar instead. Please refer to the following FAQ.
